The Mission of Bethel is to “Celebrate God’s grace, and reach out with Christ’s Love.” We see this especially clearly the connections we have to the community. We support the Muskego Food Pantry; the St. Vincent de Paul Southside Mealsite, Alcoholics Anonymous, Girl Scouts of America, and the Easy Method Driving School use the facilities here, as well as the Mary Linsmeier Pre-School, and the Norway/Muskego School District 4-K program which hold classes here during the school year. We also financially support other, far-reaching efforts in other countries ncluding Africa and Asia.
As a congregation of the ELCA, our faith tradition is based on a life-transforming story. The ELCA’s story is both ancient and timely. It’s a story of a powerful and patient God who has boundless love for all people of the world, who brings justice for the oppressed. It’s a story of Jesus Christ, changing lives. It’s a story that brings comfort and strength to people who today live in modern, often unsettling times.
